Carah Burton

I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2025 with a B.A. in Fashion Merchandising and a minor in Marketing, earning Magna Cum Laude honors. Through both academics and hands-on experience, I’ve developed strong skills in analyzing market trends, consumer behavior, and retail strategies, with a particular interest in merchandise planning and buying.

Beyond fashion, I value personal growth and am guided by faith, integrity, and compassion. I enjoy spending time outdoors, being with family, and reflecting on life experiences.

RESUME

My Journey

I grew up in Huntington Beach, California, just outside of LA, and I’ve been fortunate to experience life on both the West and East Coasts. Growing up in Orange County exposed me to the contrast between high-class living and the city life of LA, giving me a diverse perspective. I grew up around my grandparents, who made custom road racing leathers. This sparked my interest in fashion from a young age and eventually led me to VCU. My life experiences, from living in different places to being surrounded by creativity, bring a unique and diverse perspective to everything I do.
